I am the founder and President of Fleming Data Group LLC, where I help organizations make smarter technology decisions through clear, independent and strategic guidance. My focus is on advising leaders on how to use data, cloud platforms, artificial intelligence and modern infrastructure to solve real business problems. My services are advisory only, which keeps every recommendation objective and aligned to client goals.
My career began in engineering roles centered on systems performance, diagnostics, analytics and process improvement. Working directly with complex systems gave me a strong understanding of how technology behaves under real conditions and how data moves through critical environments. This early experience shaped the problem solving approach I use today.
Over the years I have supported major technology programs across the public and private sectors. My work has included guiding data and AI strategies, evaluating enterprise architectures, planning cloud modernization efforts and helping organizations understand how emerging technologies can support mission needs.
I have been involved in large scale analytics and artificial intelligence initiatives, generative AI programs, cybersecurity data strategies and enterprise data platform transformations. These experiences have allowed me to develop a broad perspective that spans both engineering depth and strategic decision making.
A consistent part of my advisory practice is the use of the DMAIC process. DMAIC stands for Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control. It is a structured and iterative Six Sigma method that ensures every engagement begins with clarity, moves forward with measurable insight and ends with a plan that can be sustained over time.
Define establishes the real problem to be solved.
Measure gathers the facts needed to understand the current state.
Analyze identifies the true drivers behind issues or opportunities.
Improve develops strategic recommendations based on evidence.
Control creates the guidance, processes or guardrails that keep the solution on track after the engagement ends.
This approach brings discipline and repeatability to complex technology decisions and helps ensure that outcomes are grounded in data, aligned to business goals and practical for teams to execute.
Clients and colleagues often note my ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear and practical guidance. I work to understand the business problem first, then help align the right technologies, processes and teams to solve it. Preparation, thoughtfulness and a consistent problem solver’s mindset are the qualities I bring to every engagement.
Alongside my advisory work at Fleming Data Group LLC, I also serve as the Chief Technology Officer for SpacePACK. In this role I help shape the strategy for automation, analytics, machine learning and artificial intelligence that will support a modern approach to packaging and promotional product sales. Staying actively involved in leadership positions like this allows me to remain close to real business challenges and understand how organizations apply new technologies in practice.
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with minors in Business Administration and Mathematics. My training across engineering, data, artificial intelligence, systems architecture, cybersecurity and cloud platforms supports the broad perspective I offer my clients.
A line from Robert Frost has shaped the way I view my career and the choices that define it:
"Two roads diverged in a wood, and I
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference."
At Fleming Data Group LLC, my goal is to help clients choose the path that leads to clarity, stability and long term success.
If you are facing challenges with data, infrastructure or AI strategy, I can help you navigate the path forward with confidence through independent advisory services tailored to your situation.
